AMD's Cool and Quiet?

I just recently realized that it wasn't on because it wasn't on a certain power scheme..... My idle temps now reach an amazing 29C...... (Although I think my fan is still on a constant 12V as described in my 'Constant 12v to my CPU Cooler thread....)

As TOO said, all it does is lower the clock speed and voltage, similar to what is found in laptops. It doesn't effect performance at all, in fact it could lower it.

Lower it? Or do you mean increase it?

It lowers the speed when the CPU is not in use. The idea is to save power and generate less heat when the system is idle. It does not increase performance, but should not reduce it either, as the CPU will return to full speed once given a task.

It should, and usually always does, however there have been times on my laptop where it doesn't return to full speed, even though it should, such as when I play games.

Well, that's what I sorta meant but the way he worded it, it sounded like he meant increased......
