ok i have a flash drive that works on every computer i have ever plugged it into besides one. (my wifes) for some reason the drive won't work in only her computer. Other devices do work in her usb 2.0 ports, so its not the computer. any ideas?

Could be a USB legacy problem.. i have it disabled on my pc since it messed up my USB drivers :( The result.. it wont see my old USB 1.1 stick,.. however, it does work with my new USB stick (2.0)I'm not saying thats the cause with you over there.. but it's a posibillity :)

Check if you're putting it in a rear or front USB port. Front ports don't always have enough power, so try a rear.

I disagree. Both USB ports are potentially plugged into the same slot on the MOBO, meaning the same power.

depends.. the slots directly mouned on the motherboard can deliver more power, slots in PCI-brackets are plugged into the same ones as front ports tough indeed :)

What OS is she using? I imagine she's using XP, but if not, Win98 needs a driver to work the drive. Otherwise, please post the full specs of her computer, there could be some other hardware conflict involved...
