An odd problem...

I recently installed Avira Antivir on a computer and it found a file that said it was a Trojan and I chose to delete the file (it was located in the system32 folder. I looked up the .dll online and there was nothing found about it, so I assumed it was a virus. Now every application pops up while starting the comp or trying to run programs individually saying for example: "winlogon.exe - Unable to Locate Component. This application has failed to start because msjjritt.dll was not found. Re-installing this application may fix this problem."

It says it for every single app., but after clicking OK several times the app opens and several more errors of the similar sort pop up for different programs ranging from sfc.exe to mbam.exe.

What kind of breach has occurred? How can I fix this? Thanks for any help.
 
I am glad to hear you have completed an updated scan, with the now installed, free Avira Antivirus
And that it has successfully removed a Trojan on your computer.
So far so good.

I suspect that the Trojan had also infected your registry (possibly the GINA entry) and that entry either still exists or is missing or corrupt.

You can start by downloading this tool: http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/XP_FixLogon.zip
This utility checks for the correct GINA value in the Registry and will allow you to restore it, if its incorrect. (Note: XP only)

Once confirmed the above you could also run a free Registry Scan with CCleaner (Download HERE)
CCleaner (once installed and run) has a "Registry" Button to click on and then "Scan for Issues"
Once completed please "Fix all selected issues"
Note: You will likely need to run this Registry scan and fix a few times until all are fixed

Then Restart

According to the Sticky in this forum you are also strongly advised to run a free updated Malwarebytes scan
Of which may remove further Trojans and "Malwares" that Avira Antivirus did not find

Prior to your post, I had already ran ccleaner and malwarebytes, they are two of my most largely utilized programs. Malwarebytes found a few thigns, but it did not help, the registry program did not fix anything either. I did a system restore to a couple of days ago, ran mbam, avira, and ccleaner and everything is working fine now. Thanks for the input.
