An Unknown Problem

This started this morning when i woke up. Turned the computer on and it was like this when i tried to play World of Warcraft (say what you want, im addicted lol)

I think it could be the video card so this is what one im using.

ATI Radeon 9550 / X1050 Series.

I had this problem awhile ago, i just turned the computer off, went to the pub, came back and it was fine, so im stumped.

I recently (30 mins ago) dismantled and cleaned (down to the cpu heatsink with an air compressor lol) and still nothing.
 
If your talking about the artifacts on the screen then I'd say you need a new video card. The one you have is old. Is the heatsink on the video card really hot?
 
Its not actually that hot, its around the normal heat.

This card still runs well i dont do much gaming anymore. But this card has served well for around 3 months now.
 
My first instinct tells me the video card has had it... but let's try an experiment, shall we? :D

Go to Start-->Run--> type in 'msconfig' and press <enter>

In the Startup tab, click Disable All, and click 'Apply'

In the Services tab, check "Hide All Microsoft Services" and click Disable All and click 'Apply'

Reboot the machine and try running WoW...

It's a looong shot, but what do you have to lose, right? It will only take a minute...

Do you have this problem in other games?

Also, you may try testing DirectX: Start-->Run-->type 'dxdiag.exe' and click 'OK'-->Input Tab and thry clicking the test buttons.

Card is shot, i tried everything literally from what you said to licking the monitor nothings any good. Removed and already burnt it lol. Alwell 30 mins and i will have another card. Thanks anyway.
