Analog vs USB Headsets

I know that the USB Headset has a sound card of its own but I am not sure how good it is, do you prefer a good USB headset or a good analog headset? and are USBs ussually better?

Agreed. Practically all sound cards at least have one input line, so why not use it :P No special drivers or anything to setup.

:P

and as for "most sound cards".... pfft more like "Most sound devices" onboard has the pink mic input

If you have onboard sound, then buying a USB headset may be a good choice. However if you have a sound card such as an Audigy series, X-Fi, or other high end card, you would most likely lose audio quality because the onboard sound devices aren't as good.

Good point. When you use the USB, you don't get the quality of the sound card, you get the quality of the onboard audio instead.

I have a somewhat nice logitech headset, and it doesn't seem a whole lot different at all from my old analog one... but I've never used anything but integrated sound.
