Android Tablet recommendation please?

My Asus tablet suffer from ghost touching or sometime non responsive touchscreen.

I haven't follow tablet technology for a while. What is the latest?

Here is what I've got at the moment. Could you recommend something with better spec, but reasonably priced?

I had a Google Chrome tablet that was great, until someone stole it. You could even put an SD card in it for extra storage. Now I have a Kindle Fire HD.

I would recommend the nexus 9. I have a 2nd gen nexus 7, and its amazing. the nexus 9 is newer, so it will be a lot better. the nexus line, in my opinion is just great. but if you dont like the nexus 9, you could get the google pixel C, or maybe look into a convertible Chromebook like the Samsung Chromebook Pro. The (samsung) Chromebook pro can be used as a laptop, or you can flip the screen around and use it like a tablet. it can even run android apps, and comes with a stylus just like the samsung Note line.
