Hi.

I once saw an animated film about datatransfer and how firewalls work.

Does any of you know this film and where to find it??

/Cuzz.

That's not a great amount of information to go on, can you remember anything else about when/where you saw the film originally?

Oh, and welcome to the forum. :)

Thanks for the welcome.

I saw it in school some years ago, i dont know if the teacher had it downloaded from the internet or had it on a cd-rom..
I think perhaps cisco or some other manufactuerer made the film.

It showed how the datatransfer on the internet works. It showed tha data packages being loaded in to some sort of small "trucks" and then they drove/flew on the information-highway. When they reached the destination there where a firewall of some sort with giant arms bouncing off the trucks with viruses and other nasty stuf, only letting the right trucks in.

This is about all i remember. I think the film was maybe 10 minuttes or so.

Sorry for any misspelling - english is not my native languages.

huh i saw that at a corporate event for our risk assurance team, its quite funny. Although there are a few factual errors in it.

Thats the one. Thank you very much.

By the way, what factual facts are there in it? Just so i know.

It was a while ago i saw it so I cant really recall, but the way they show the packet of data a metaphysical shell which hold the data and the headers and bolted onto is missleading, the data and header are the packet themselves theres no carriers that holds them
