annoying beeping noise & cpu usage

Okay my computer has recently developed a problem...

When i'm playing thegame Starcraft-Broodwar for about 10 minutes it decides to get angry with me and start beeping. and it says my cpu usage is 100 percent.

i minimize the game and the beeping stops.

then i open it up again and play for about 30 more seconds and it beeps again.

i recently added some ram (but i tried taking that out and it didn't change anything) and a harddrive (that shouldn't be affecting it since the game's not even on that drive)

i dont know what to do. i just formatted and the problem persists.

any idea ((

i've had this computer for a few years and SC is not a big game.

(as for other games like WC3 or Counter-Strike it usually runs fine. but every once in a while i get the beeping but after a restart those usually work)

okay so i finally solved my problem!@!!@!@!@!@

the problem was my heatsync was prettymuch covered in dust...SO i just:

-took the fan off.
-vaccumed the dust off.
-used a cotten swab to swab some remaining dust off.
-vaccumed it again...off.

Ooo

For next time, try not to use a Vacuum as it creates static electricity, and can fry many components in your computer.

Get a can of Air(Can buy em at Radio Shack), and blow off the dust. OR if you have a compressor, turn down the PSI as low as it can go, and use that. If its still strong just pull the nozzle back, and blow from farther away.

I clean my computer every month, keeps it running cool, and smooth.
