I have a very old and big tube monitor that I am having problems with. When the monitor is turned off, or when the computer restarts, the bottom of the screen is crunched up a little bit. It takes maybe 30 minutes for the entire picture to "un-crunch". This can get very annoying and I would like to know what specifically is going on. I know that it's dying and that this symptom appears when it's getting old, but what is really happening to it and is there a way to fix it?
