another build for me

okay, i've been thinking of upgrading my systems mobo and video card....but i think i'd be better off with a new computer. i'm not looking at a custom build though. i was thinking an hp or gateway. dell is to uptight about letting people customize their systems, so i'd rather not go with that. my budget is about $600-700. i am looking around, but i was wondering if any of you have good suggestions. i want to be able to play games with pretty decent specs.

Pop in a video card like the 8800GTS (or whatever) and dvd burner and you're set.

Past that, I would just say to build your own. For $600-700 you can build a pretty decent gaming system, whereas you would REALLY have to hunt around for an OEM setup, and likely go very cheap...and buying a separate video card after the fact. Good luck. :)
