I'll explain the best i can. I have 5 computers in the house. One netbook that is wireless connection. works fine except now i want to use skype with the netbook. and im wireless. in my computer room i have 3 computers and one is a netbook (wireless). I need a direct connection for faster speed for for skype (with video and sound). seems to be lag with video.

I only use one computer at a time unless family is in my room.
I through away a hub a few years ago. did not need it. I thought. i pulled the cat5 from the computer and the netbook works wireless. plug into another cat5 to the netbook. Nothing.
(might be good as a relay im thinking). plugged into router and wont work. if i got another hub and plugged in the laptop and computer would that solve my problem. the router is after the router im using. Its fiber optic ATT Uverse.

Running a cable will be my nightmare. just trying to avoid it.
the secondary the computer is not used often. kids only. its theres. plugging and unplugging into the laptop im trying to avoid.

im just trying to give all the details. maybe i should and could just buy another camera with speech and call a day for another computer.

be damn if i know. i have 4 outputs and a wireless netbook hooked up. i went to the ATT router thats a cable box and cable modem. I can access the router open / close ports on the firewall. set passwords or anything else i want just like the 3Com office router i own. which im not using because it works good. i read a link Paul posted up earilar, you and Brian. thinking maybe i could run with that. all computers are not being used but hooked up. i just go where i want and hang out.

Only concern with ATT and Comcast in the past was sucking to much bandwidth. been a while with that one though.

the two computers is wired in my computer room with a laptop (that is wireless)
im just tired of unplugging one of the cat5 cables out of the computer to plug into laptop when needed. when im done, i unplug the cat5 and plug back into the extra computer until i need it again. then i do it again.
