Which system would be a good future and a good gaming computer?

Don't mind the thread name, I can imagine you guys getting a lot of these threads with the new Processors coming up. But this one is an easy one, I'd like some opinions on which one to take from the following two:

Q9450 (maybe OC it to about 2.8)
Asus P5N-D (for possible SLI in the future)
8800GT (1)
Corsair CL4 PC6400
And ofcourse all of the rest of the computer (Scythe Infinity and a Accelero S1 Rev. 2 for cooling).

Or…

Q6600 (most likely up to around 2.8)
XFX 680i SLI
Two 8800GT’s
Corsair CL4 PC6400
And again the rest of the computer (plus the same coolers).

Now I want an opinion non which system to take, take in mind I am going for future proof and good frames for practically everything you throw at it. Ofcourse I want a normal working PC for work etc. but I am sure if it can give a good Framerate then it’ll do fine in normal surroundings (seeing it has 4 cores).

And to throw in a second quick question, with the Q9450 system I chose the alltime cheapest 8800GT seeing that one doesn’t have good cooling (the fan isn’t even changeable in RPM) and I would put on the Accelero S1 Rev.2 because it cools much much better then the stock and costs nothing (and the airflow of the case is great so most likely it will do even a bit better then reviews say but I can say that right now).

But when I put 2 of the 8800GT’s in SLI… I am sure they won’t fit, so I would need either one different cooler, or two (I can use the accelero for the one on the outside with the room and the other one that fits in between perhaps). So which would you suggest (or should I just order them both, seeing the company will most likely call me if they don’t fit for sure).

I thank you in advance ;)

EDIT: Ofcourse the Q6600 system and the Q9450 system cost practically exactly the same (10 euro difference, the Q6600 is 10 euros more expensive seeing you have to buy 2 coolers for the 8800GT's)

If there's an area where this normally would fit better, telling me now would be a good thing. I'd like an answer seeing the Q6600 isn't going to stay at roundabout 250 dollars (160,- euros that is). Nor are the 8800GT"s going to stay at about 210 dollars (130,- euros).

And I found out that I can either try and bend two of the fins on the one that goes in between both or I can get a flexible SLI bridge (or just maybe it will fit right in between the fans, long shot). So it'll stay on two Accelero S1 Rev2's ;)

And I myself am now pushing towards that Q6600 seeing it OC's good and works on a 680i chipset (XFX 680i LT). Not that the Q9450 doesn't OC good, but it won't do that same 680i board. And seeing the 780i/790i is out of my budget I'd have to get a 750i for future SLI... And I prefer 2x PCI-e 16x slots over one x16 PCI-e v2.0 slot and one x8 PCI-e (v2.0 ?) slot...

EDIT: nvm, I posted this at school. So I had to hurry because you can't go on forums if it's not related to school. I'll repost it here. Sorry for the inconvenience(spelling?).
