Another Laptop for free

The other day I was given a HP DV2125nr, It was a hand me down from work and it seems to work OK except the onboard Broadcom wireless card is not seen. I pulled the card and restarted and reinstalled it and restarted again hoping the system would see the device again, but it didn't.
I tried downloading new drivers but that doesn't help either.
It does not show up in the installed devices.
Is there another trick I can use to awaking the wireless driver other than replacing the card.
The person that gave it up always use an ATT data card for service so the settings may be locked in somehow.
It's a nice laptop and came be used with a ethernet cord but it's what does not work that interests me.

It's XP Pro and all the updates are installed too. I guess he got a new laptop or a tablet, but I like the older stuff still.

The wireless card is bad or possibly the slot that the card is in or maybe there is an option in the bios to disable wireless card.

All you have to do is look for the specific options in the bios. All laptops are different.

I had this issue with my laptop... Had to clear EVERYTHING off the HDD and reinstall the OS... You could go with Linux if you don't want to load windows back on :d

I would also check to see if the At&t software being used for the wireless was removed through "add/remove programs" and then I would reinstall the wirless driver from the OEM for that computer, then reboot and make sure not disabled in the bios like said above.
