as fade2green said in the other thread:

first off, implement a memory divider to assure its stable...

i didn't want to steal that guys thread soo here goes. what does it mean by implementing a memory divider? i've tried to over clock my processor before. i lowered the speed of my ram and increased the fsb, but pretty much just made it to 2.0ghz and it started crashed with benchmarking. is implementing memory divider what i'm missing? or is it my hardware thats limiting the overclocking?

In the BIOS under 'cell menu' you can see the current CPU and RAM clock speeds. Adjust the different values in there and see what effect it has on the CPU and RAM speeds at the top of this BIOS section. The ones of the most interest to you will be HT Frequency and Adjust CPU FSB Frequency. Make sure you have CPU Spread Spectrum set to disabled.
