I was switching CD drives in my new computer and I forgot to shut it down. When I went to plug the power into the CD drive the computer shut down. When I started it back up it only got the the motherboard model picture right at start up and it's staying there for good.

Does this mean I fried something? If not, what do you think may be wrong?

Thanks

did you install the software for the new CD driver? and i doubt you fried anything but that still isn't a smart thing to do lol

completely shut down and unplug, remove mother board battery. disconnect everything except video, cpu and 1 stick of ram. I mean everything hardrives, floppy, cds, any cards etc. with the battery out plug back in and see if you can get to the bios.
