Well, Messing around with my case... again!

Found some foam that comes with your MOBO's you know the one...

Decided to cut it up and stick it in the case... It seems to not be making as much noise, but I don't know, it certainly looks a lot better!

I also re-routed the 4 pin power connector, it used to be leaning on the HS, so I moved it and it seems to look a lot better, and the temps seem a little lower, don't know if it's what I want to see and it hasn't made a difference, but it's like 1 - 2c lower at the moment :P

Here's the 4 Pin power cable I've moved

Here's some of the foam I put in, I think it looks great! :D

One question though, I was thinking of buying a 120mm fan and an adaptor to put the HDD in a top CD Bay, and sticking the 120mm in the bottom where the HDD was, at an angle pointing up towards the RAM and CPU, what do you think, do you think it'd just mess up the air flow or help?

I was thinking about doing that with some foam too but havent got round to it yet

looks groovy

It's good! Oh, your new mod looks great dude! :D

I'm going to put the rocker switch off the cathodes on the front of the case when I get them :P

Good luck finding some! :P

If anything i think it would improve the airflow, because you have more cool air being sent to the cpu whilst cooling the ram and mobo too - for for it i say, but i dont think a 120mm fan will fit in between the hdd cage

what did you use to attach the foam to cage?

If I was to do it, is the one 80mm exhuast at the back enough do you think?

Actually, you're right, it wouldn't, Hmmm... See the IDE cable, Where could I stash it? It's in the way of the where the 120mm fan would be, and it isn't long enough to tuck around the back :( also, I can't find any IDE > IDE ones on Ebuyer! :(

I just used masking tape, bent it round to make double sided tape :P

Im sure the ide cable could go behind the hdd cage instead of in it some how, and i dont know how powerfull your 80mm fan at the back is - but the one i have strapped in my hdd cage if very powerfull ! and yeh i used cellotape folded over to put some foam in - it looks realy funny and pointless and rushed.

I put the trimmings at the top of the case, cant see what good it will do tho,

I think my computer looks better when taken with a good camera lol !

hmm that foam does look good

Thanks :D

Looks nice.

:)

Looks good dude! I'm going to add more tomorrow, don't know where though :P

Decided to make a new IDE cable, found a single IDE to IDE cable that came with my MOBO :)

Just need to heat up the shrink wrap!
Turned out great! I'll run it behing the cages so that I can add the 120mm to the top of the HDD cage, blowing on the RAM, NB and CPU.

Man, I love messing around with this thing, buy a cheap case and change everything about it! :D

Some guy on CF made an better IDE cable outta black duct tape andcut up IDE wires... Just wrap em and they look awesome.

I think the sleeving looks good, using tape would make it too hard to bend and stash in places :)

Yeah, I use a lighter, although, I have accidently let it catch fire once or twice :P

So, I went with some more foam, and stuck the new IDE cable in there...

Just waiting on the cathodes, HDD adaptor and a 120mm fan :)

What do you think?
