Another TV/Video Thread

Hey all, am new here. I was just using google to look some things up about using the Video-In on my Radeon 9800 Pro and it seems to have found this forum

The thing I want to do is to be able to watch video (realtime) through the s-video in on my Radeon. I have a lead to plug into and and something to send video, but I really have no idea where to start on the pc end of things.

Basically, I have the Video-In on my Radeon and the WDM drivers installed. What other software do I need (even if it comes with windows.. I have no idea) to be able to watch the video realtime... if that's possible. Or would I need a separate TV tuner card with an s-video in?

The sound, I assume, I have to run into the Line-In on my sound card, that I can do. It's just the video aspect of it.

Any help would be appreciated.

You'll only need the ATI TV application (part of the ATI Multimedia Center). If you don't have it, you can download it from here: http://www.ati.com/support/drivers/winxp/radeonopt-xp.html?type=xp&prodType=mm&prod=aiwWINXPdriver&submit.x=12&submit.y=9
There's an option in ATI TV which allow you to select what video input do you want to use. Select S-Video and that's all: you'll have live video on your desktop. There's even a Rec button, so you can also record the video.
