Hi, I am looking for a new motherboard for a new computer i am building and i was looking at getting the -

Abit AN8 SLi Fatal1ty nForce4 SLi (Socket 939) - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/ABIT_Socket_939.html (top one)

But i have heard some bad review from friends that it is at a much higher price because they have put fatal1tys name on it. Is this true? Because the other motherboard without fatal1ty is £40 cheaper -

Abit AN8 SLi nForce4 SLi (Socket 939) - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/ABIT_Socket_939.html (second one down)

Any ideas on which one would be better to buy? I wil be using it form mainly gaming, music and internet stuff. Thanks in advance

the non fatal1tys is good enough for you tasks, you do know that you need 2 graphics cards to use sli

well the fatal1ty mobo is for gaming and only gaming
if u r doing it for other app. the go for the non fatal1ty

but i love my fatal1ty mobo its the best in the world

1. I think you answred your own question
2. You can often get a better performing board (SLI or nonSLI) for cheaper. Most notably
In comparison to your ABit Fatal1ty A8N SLI [$200]

You can love it all you want but sorry to break it to you but its not the best (and wasnt the best even at time of launch)

but if all u do is gaming mostly then get it it is well worth it
Assuming of course you take advantage of the primary feature to start with (i.e., SLI)

1. Odd that the best board on the planet only gets a 9
2. Real overclocking is done BIOS side (not to mention my DFI or Sapphire or the A8N32-SLI DX boards can puke out more tweaking and overclocking options in it's overclocking sections than your board offers over two or three sections.

yeah its great as i have said before
Great board? Yes. But can you get way better boards for the same price bracket or less? Absolutely.
