Antec P180 and P182 design

First off, a quick question: Is the P182 meant to replace the P180? Or are the differences enough to make them two distinct cases?

My other question is about their design. I'm curious if the way the bottom area, where the PSU and some internal drives go, is compartmentalized is really a good thing. I always thought that you wanted airflow to be even all over the case and to let the fans deal with it, but in this scheme it seems like the bottom might get overly hot, being confined as it is.

the new revisions of the p180 and p180b are the same in desing as the p182

and "linear" airflow is the important thing, you dont want fans working against eachother, and you want to try to get rid of unwanted turbulence, turbulence will create hot spots.

P18X case series

The P180 is being replaced with the P182, which has several feature advantages. The cable management is my favorite improvement. The cooling system is the same. You can see a demo of the case and how its features are supposed to work.
