Antec P180 Compatible PSU?

Well, after doing some research turns out the beloved Hiper Type-R Modular Series does not fit in the P180! Cables are too short.

I am in need of a modular PSU, spending around £65 max. (this is around 130 US Dollars I think)

Any recommendations? I've been looking at an OCZ Modstream 520W..

the antec smartpower 2.0 500W would be ideal, seeing as its made by antec its pretty much guarenteed to fit.

No no, I do want a modular PSU. Thanks for the comments, I've been looking at some Seasonic's also.

Why don't you just buy some cable extensions? It's probably a whole lot cheaper to buy a 24pin cable extension, 12V 4 pin cable extension, and a whole bunch of molex extensions than to get a whole new PSU.

well i stand by the antec smartpower then, decent modular supply and antec have been very realiable for me

I agree, I have that powersupply and its amazing. It's super quite, i cannot hear it at all, and the 2 smartfan design is awesome.

doesnt look modular in the picture to me, the comment is taht the wires aint long enough to fit, however the review was done about a year ago so i imagine antec have changed it since then. According the the link in my first post the guy there has fit the smart power 2 into his p180 without issue.

I'm using a true power 2 in my p180 and it fits perfectly

Only the SP500 features the modular cables, as does the entire NeoHE series.

Yeah, go with the extension cable for the 4-pin ATX, or do surgery (not difficult).

i too am getting that Antec P180B case and the Antec Smart Power 2.0 500W PSU
