IT'S ON!
lol, many people have been asking/wondering the same thing...
my price range is from $80-100 on a case and both of these caught my eye. I would've gone with the 900 due to price had fry's not sold out =(.
they're both great cases but my main concern is cooling and noise balance. I'm keeping this in my room. So, if you were getting a rig with a quad core and an 8800gts and planned on ocing the processor 600mhz (with a thermalright ultra 120 hsf. I include this to ask you all whether the cooling on the 900 is necessary for overclocking and keeping it sub 45celcius...), which one would you buy?

For me, the only thing keeping me away from the 900 is the retarded leds and the dust and noise complaints i've heard.

On the other hand, I haven't seen any definitive showdown as far as cooling goes between the 900 and the p180b, so i don't know whether the cooling is good or bad on the p180b.

EDIT: i voted for other so i don't mess up the results.

(Also, for those wondering, the difference between the p180b and the p180 is that the 'b' in p180b stands for black >_>.)

Frys marked the price down from $89.99 to $69.99 the 5th to sell the last ones they had just after having ordered it for the sale price. But surprise is here with it seen for $91- at http://www.techonweb.com/products/productdetail.aspx?id=D03493&src=NT

Buy.com had it seen yesterday for $82 and that went fast as well. If you still want the 900 model grab it fast at the site there or go for the other model. Any case with larger fans and more of them will collect dust faster due to the increase in overall air flow. The 200mm top fan on the 900 allows more heated air from a larger supply to be vented out there. With several hard drives and larger vpu seen on newer cards you have to weigh that in.

too bad newegg forces TWO power supplies with the p190 and it costs $449 =(
if someone can find it for around $100 (i'll stretch about 30 dollars more if it's good) then i'll go for it...and i don't need those power supplies.

EDIT: the p190 is overpriced everywhere. no >_>

but the 190 is large and expensive. i'm getting the 180b because its simple, elegant, and definitely quieter than the 900.

When looking at cases many had only removable drive cages like a few Enermax models for the lower prices on those. The 900 came out shortly after I bought the present AeroCool AreoEngine II case for 1/2 the price of the Antec model now sitting near me! For ocing or running several hard drives like two ide with four sata drives and a larger supply the case shows promise. If you decide on the 900 time is short to grab it for the low price.

may i ask for your future specs and overclocking plans? also, what temps do you plan to see...

Q6600 on a P5B or similar ASUS board, 2GB corsair XMS2 RAM. Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme w/ high cfm fan. looking to bump the stock 2.4Ghz to at least 2.8 or 3.0 while staying as cool as possible. I'll overclock as much as I can and stay under 50*C at full load.

woot same as me (minus the 8800/vid card which you probably forgot to include) i'll get the p180b then unless someone can convince me otherwise

i voted for the 900 because of your buidget, so its the better of the two in that price range but if you had enough money i would say the Silverstone TJ07 in black w/window

The antec p180 is an excellent case, I have one and would recommend it to others.

I would recommend a better PSU than the one in you sig as well, Ultra PSU's are not that great.

i hate the chrome...and price is my biggest issue at the moment...unless it comes to less than $110 with shipping and tax, I won't go for the p180b =/. I live in california so compusa and newegg charge tax here.

the link i found (in sig) to the antec 900 for $107 has free shipping and no tax.

EDIT: (if you're wondering why I suddenly care about that $30 price difference (the shipping on the p180b from compusa =(, it's because dell.com decided to raise the price on the 640mb 8800gts to $356, and my strict budget including tax and shipping is $1500...I calculated it all and it comes to $1499.67 0_0.)

However, i would be REALLY grateful if someone could find a p180b...thanks.

the viper red case is uglier it looks like someone at FISHER PRICE whipped up for little toddlers.

i tend to buy cases that are scratch resistant or at least blend in the scratches since i play around with my cases alot :D that mirror type ain't gonna be pretty no more with scratches on it :)
