if i take the 92mm fan off that HS and i put on a 120mm Antec TriCool fan on it, what might be some dangers/difficulties i might have?
and would it keep my cpu cooler? /Thanks

I dont think there should be any problems at all. I am actually buying another Tri-cool this weekend to replace my stock cooling fan. Just make SURE that you have it hooked into the mobo b/c you def want the mobo controlling the fan speed and not the switch.

Well the AntecTricool doesn't have the 3/4 pin motherboard connector, so your computer is going to think you have no CPU fan and the fan won't be able to be speed controlled by the bios.

Umm.. mine actually does have a 3/4 pin connector so would it show in the bios?
BTW... i use core temp for my cpu temps
Thanks :D

I have all my Antec Tri cool's connected to my motherboard (with the 3 pin connectors) works perfectly. I dont see a problem mounting it onto the heatsink either (as long as its the same size that is)

Yeah thats the thing umm my Tricool is 120mm fan while the fan on my HS is a 92mm. but would my cpu stay cooler with the 120mm tricool going at Medium?
