Anti-Virus program

AVG Free edition is the best out of all the free Anti-virus programs I have used. I still say personally that Norton Internet Security is about the best internet security setup you can get, but that's me.

Well, here's the deal. I tested pretty much all of them on a viscious website that automatically installs virii on your computer. Avast! was the only one out of the bunch that caught them and shut the webpage down before it would even load.

AVG I found to be highly overrated. It lets virii on the computer, and then tells you you have a problem. Avast!, on the other hand, stops the virii from ever getting there to begin with.

It has more advanced detection techniques, it protects on more than half a dozen fronts, unlike AVG and thus I strongly urge you to consider Avast! over AVG.

I would like to add that I have never tried Avast, but, I've heard good things about it. Truth is that I ran AVG for a while and I have downloaded files here and there with viruses, and all AVG seems to do is tell you that they are there. It never actually gets rid of the viruses as far as I can tell. It's still better than nothing thought..

if u Searched "a good anti-virus program", u would get a ton of threads about that....

i would say AVG Free 7.5..
