Anti Virus

Sorry everyone, I'm not trying to flood the forums but does anyone know a good solid Anti Virus that doesn't slow down your computer too much? I am currently using AVG Free Edition and it seems to have slowed down my computer a bit. It isn't that bad, but it is noticable.

How much system ram do you have installed and what Operating System are you using?

I like Avast. I find it to be somewhat quicker than AVG

I have 4 gigs of DDR3 and am running Windows 7 64bit

How is avg slowing your system down? Boot time, response time?

response time. Opening up IE and loading pages on the internet.

Did you by chance install the avg toolbar? If so uninstall that, that should solve your problem. Toolbars always seem to slow down the browser.
