hey guys when i turn on my pc's antivirus (norton 2004) alwas disabled Auto Protect (Disabled) i saned for viruses and spyware but nothing one time i had this problem but it was gone after i reinstalled windows XP
Alternatively wait until the OS finishes loading up and then enable it (also check services.msc to see if its disabled). Last resort would be to reinstall the virusscanner
