Antivirus software

A few days ago I started a thread about switching from Norton. I am still panning on doing that, but it may actually be me a few people from work that switch.

One of our options is NOD32. Does anyone have exerience with this software? From this article which has been bandied about (http://tech.cybernetnews.com/2006/09/04/and-the-best-antivirus-is/) NOD32 seems like a good choice, with high ranks in both tests, but I am also concerned about system resource usage.

Norton is killing us here, we practically have to upgrade our work laptops just to run the frikkin' thins, so I want to end up with less demanding software.

Does NOD32 fit the bill?

Thanks for any help and feeel free to suggest preferred software options.

You won't find an AV lighter than NOD32. Even the new version of Kaspersky is very light on my system as previous versions were critisized for heavy resource use. The freebie Antivir is also light and has recently achieved the high detection rates of Kaspersky and NOD32.
