I would definitely get a card better than the 7300GS if this is going to be a gaming computer. Possibly if you knocked your hard drive down you would have enough for a better one...add in the fact prices will be lower when you do buy.

A great budget gaming card would be the Nvidia Geforce 7600GS. As of right now it can be bought for around $110-$115 or so...and a few have rebates as well.

id REALLY suggest not getting the 7300GS, if i were you id get a 6600GT or even a 6600 over it, it really does suck monkey balls

also get 2x512MB sticks for dual channel

Whats wrong with ebay? IMO you can get way better deals I got my 7900gt for $190 shipped brand new it's a bit over kill for my pc but it was the best card I could get vs the money at the time.

aight ill go with a 6600gt but, im going with 1gb to start then getting another stick a few weeks after i get it

been cheated by ebay b4, i dont buy expensive neccesary items from ebay, i get warrantys

You realy need to look at peoples feed back before you bid on something. I know things can happen though but someone with 100% positive feed back with 5000 sells is not going to want to ruin that.

I think a 6600gt will work good with what you are building :D

the most demanding game im going to be playing will be guild wars maybe the new one coming out, but def factions, would a 6600gt be able to run it flawlessly? I still think the 7300gs will be good enough if not overkill and cheaper, but since this is the computer forum im probaly gonna listen to the input from this thread.

i still like mine better, improved performance for slightly more

Yeah, basically the only difference is you have the 3500+ while i have the 3000+. But i have the 7600GS against your 7300GS, which is alot better.

i edited b4 you got to it lol i just looked over it real quick and didnt see it. and you need an os unless your going with linux, but i like the xp system, other than all the viruses lol

The 7300GS is quite a poor card, you can pick up a vanilla 6600 at the same price, which is considerably better.

A 6600GT would be better, but only get it if you can find it dirt cheap. The solidly superior 7600GS can be found at $89.99, and would be your best choice, IMO.

alright, i completely forgot to ask, are there any compatibility issues i might have with any of the hardware listed in the first post?
