Any reason why i should get anything else? besides a different socket?
I would prabally only end up using 2 of the RAM slots because it slows it down correct? unless it can do 2 pairs of dual channel or something crazy like that.

It sounds like a good motherboard but unfortunately Athlon XP and Duron had been discontinued and got replaced by Sempron. I use an NForce 2 mobo and it required a BIOS update before it support Sempron.

As much as I love SLI and such, I don't think thats the price range he wants to be in.

I wouldn't buy dual 6600GT's to begin with since they are about equal in performance and cost as a single 6800GT.

yeah seroisly i was going to get that mobo for 32$ plus shipping! plus im asking about a mobo but graphic cards and RAM. i already have ram for it anyways DDR400 512MB each,and thats the most im getting for it for a while at least. thats if i still decide to get it.

Anyone ever purchase from neweggs rerubished stuff?

He was talking about a $35 motherboard and you bring up things that would cost around $700.

also the athlon 64 3200+ dont have 2000FSB instead it has 200HTT

1. Athlon64s dont have FSB
2. 6600GT Ultra? Riiiiiiiiiiight.
Technical inaccuracies aside, some common sense would suggest that people considering a S462 board dont have your "powerful" configuration in mind

I wouldn't buy dual 6600GT's to begin with since they are about equal in performance and cost as a single 6800GT.

Dual 6600GTs will outpace 6800Ultras and cost a bit less.

Have a look at this ... non-refurbished .. better board ... not significantly more
