Any Expansion Plans?

I know that this is a littel arrogant of me but are there going to be any expansions of the General Software forum? I mean software is a major part of a computer and deserves more forums like the hardware section :)
 
Well ic the new forum just posted affected u, but i agree with u, its better to have more catagories ion the software section.:)
 
On the contrary I have been thinging of posting this for a while, I put it off though. But yeah...I really think that it would be good to have more categories in the General Software Forum Ian + Moderators, please have a good think about it :D

I do not think it is arrogant.. I would definitely like to see this forum expanded :D

Ad/spyware could easily be a forum all on its own...

There are so many categories to choose from, its like being in a sweet shop. I have plenty of ideas:
Programming
  • C
  • C++
  • Visula Basic
  • Pascal

Operating Systems
  • Windows
  • Mac
  • Linux

AntiVirus+Spyware
  • Norton
  • Macfee
  • Spybot
  • Spyware Doctor

These are just a few suggestions :D
 
if there were a poll for this i would vote expansion...and i like OSs setup he conjured as well. i havent checked to see just how long the forum has been around, but i have helped out in other forums enough to know theyre always changing and growing, and it usually just makes things better and easier.
 
Well General software appears to have more threads in it than any other category, 1,471, so it would naturally be the first choice for expansion.
I would be more inclined to expand in the following way

  • Operating Systems (Windows/Linux/MacOS,etc)
  • Security (Anti-Virus/Spyware/Firewall)
  • General Software
Programming is out of the question though, there are other forums that specialise in programming, I was hesitant to start a security forum, due to concerns of being able to manage that area effectively, but it appears these questions are being posted anyway, so it may be logical to start a seperate section for it.
 
Well, after a few hours, I have finally created the two new forums, and sorted through over 1,500 threads to populate the 2 new forums.

Operating Systems (Windows/Linux/MacOS,etc)
Computer Security (Anti-Virus/Spyware/Firewall)
Thank you very much for the suggestion, and we I be seriously evaluating the suggestions made by everyone to try and make this a better place.
