Any former Amiga computers fans here ?

OK, I had an Amiga 500 back in the mid eighties and I was an absolute fan of it ! Gaming on this machine was incredible at that time (defender of the crown, shadow of the beast, barbarian (and all othe psygnosis games)... !!!
Did anyone of you ever had an Amiga (whether 1000, 500, 500+ or else) and if yes what did you think of it (back then of course...);)

Btw, I tried to us one of the amiga emulators available on the web on my PC, but had a very hard time to succeed...:P
 
Yes indeed, I had a 500 with upgraded memory to 1MB. :)

Spent hours and hours in front of that lovely machine playing games! Mostly adventure games and racing games. One of my friends had a boring PC at that time, we used to mock him because he couldnt do crap on his PC while we blasted away cool games on my Amiga 500. haha :)

Another friend had an Atari.

:D I still remember there was a raging war between "Atarists" and "Amigaists" ! The Atari was called ST if I'm not mistaken ? I wouldn't be able to say which one of these died first though !

I remember playning "the pawn" for hours...which had actually initially been released on ...atari ST and later on adapted for the Amiga. ;)

Damn you! If the thing worked I would of purchased it!

Obviously, I'm looking for one, I'm just very cheap. Them being so old, I'm a little afraid to get them, espcially when the ones with Video Toaster hardware go for about as much as my previous Compaq :rolleyes:
