Any good for gaming?

its what I got.... its a beast, Much faster then my old rig... and besides, you could get a 3200+ Athlon and you would see a huge gap in what you have right now...

Yeah, My CPU is pretty old, lol.

I don't really want to keep with my Socket A board... :P

I'm stuck trying to decide between an E6300 and an E6400, I know the 400 is better but its harder for me to get because of how much more expensive it is and I don't know if its worth the money?

Does your play games pretty well?

well mine is overclock, so I don't count :P

if you want my advice... get the E6300 if your going to want to be overcloking at all and the 6400 if you are getting a cheap mobo, cause cheap mobo's don't overclock well...

I won't be overclocking at all, I'm getting the ASRock 775DUAL-VISTA

as I get to keep most of the other stuff out of my current computer... :)

I just don't know if there's a huge incresase in performance between the E6300 and the E6400

in short, no. but I'm sure you could get atleast 2GHz stable on the DUAL-VISTA, but the choice is yours really...

oh god... what am I saying... its $37 for 300 more MHz... Get the 6400

Yeah, lol, I know, I've decided to get the E6300 as it isn't that much worse that the E6400 and I supose I could do a SMALL amount of overclocking... It just don't want to fry anything!

Anoter question :D
If I'm getting the ASRock 775DUAL-VISTA would it be a bad idea to get a PCI-e card in the future as it only has a PCI-e x4...

Some people have said it won't make a difference while others have said it will?
