Any good freeware dvd/cd burning programs out there?

I don't really like Nero (came with my DVD ROM) and I prefer not to have to rip to my computer first, then copy to a CD (call me lazy).

This is mostly for music CDs.

Also, any free lightscribe software out there? Again, Nero ain't cuttin' it.

cdburnerXP is what i use for burning cd's, it is totally free and i would say has more useful features than nero, you can get it from:

If your running Windows XP, there should be a built in program for burning CD's.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but unless you have 2 CD/DVD-ROM drives for direct burning, isn't it impossible NOT to rip to a computer first, then copy to a CD?

rip it as an iso and den use burniso (free burning tool) TO burn it to cd.

having said that i dunno if you can make an iso of music disks.
