Any good I5 coolers?

So building my old mans system but I am curious any good coolers for the I5? There doesn't seem to be many made for them in mind just bracket kits etc for 775 adaptations.
With that said anyone using a Xigmatek S1283 with their 15 (1156) this will be overclocked but only to 3.0ghz or so (he doesn't need it but it will make him feel special)

Later on when he needs the extra juice though will go higher.

Well I think he linked it so I could see the coolers not buy from them

Almost no one ever beats newegg :) I am just looking for a good cooler that will do well on overclocking.

I would never order heat sinks form frozencpus as thier overpriced big time. Many of those that newegg carries are $20-$30 cheaper.

He can buy em wherever he wants. I posted that link b/c you can search CPU heatsink / coolers by socket.

Click 1156 on Newegg - and you only get 2 choices - Frozen CPU gives you more than 20 to choose from. The socket is still new - and harder to find heatsinks for em - and FrozenCPU is the best place I've found with an easily searchable option with the most results.

Once he knows what's available - he can do some research and buy the one he wants - at the lowest price he can find.

Reason only 2 results show up on newegg is they dont update their products fast enough for search results. Many of them are on newegg just not labeled at 1156. But they include the brackets

I see well thank you kindly.

I am curious the V8 how good of a cooler is that? It is one of the highest rated on frozen + newegg and for $40 shipped it looks attractive (even has bolt kits included) Seems to have good reviews but anyone that uses a Antec 900 does it fit?

I think it would fit as I have a S1283 in my case.

Unless I can find a better one before the time I order.

"Cooler Master V10 PWM" is the best one! If you buy it you`ll never have problems. It costs a little bit more but it worth the money.

Ignore the Spammer.

The V8 is good, but there are better coolers. I think it comes with 775/1156/1366 brackets.

The V10 is far from the best. I would say it is the worst most overpriced, over sized CPU cooler out there. I have seen $25 coolers do better then the V10. Any body who has bought it has wasted there money

Anyways, I like the V8 it's not the best but it's a pretty good cooler. I have see Phenom II 955's under 30C OC'ed with it. If you can't still get it on sale for $40 then there is no reason for you not to get it.

I was planning to buy one of those. I didn't know it was a deal! That was like $30 cheaper.

Yeah I bought my HDD,V8,I5 at TG with free shipping...the I5 was $10 cheaper as well....had to buy the bracket but $50 for the cooler isn't to bad...also the H50 in benchmarks that I saw were getting higher temps 1-2c higher then V8. It also didn't do that great of a job on my buddies 920 I7 3.2ghz = 67c on load...which is pretty weak for water.

I decided to buy one though...my old man liked how it looked so long as it overclocks well will have no issues.
Bought myself one too...see how it compares with my S1283...if it is no better then I will overclock my mothers X2 5400 with it ^-^

Double win for me. Thanks for the help guys.
