Well he obviously has enough time to post on this forum, doesn't he Aastii? Also he said 300 quid in a day, not total income as well if he is looking for a Mac Pro he has money. I know it's for pro work, did you not see my posts? Yes the price premium is ridicoulus, I know this for a fact because one day I configured a Mac Pro on Apple's site which was significantly (but still contained just 2 Xeons, a couple 1 TB drives, and 2 5870s) better than the one I put up in the newegg build post and it came out to $11,000 (roughly). For $8,000 (roughly) you could get 2 top of the line Xeons, a couple Titans, a few 3 TB drives, 128 GB of RAM.
Yeah those 0.2 posts a day must really soak the time up, right
. You don't need to work 24/7 to make money, when you grow up and enter the real world you will find this out.
I did see your posts where you were spouting the brown stuff (again), however I doubt that you read mine. Here is what you get from a Mac that you don't seem to be understanding:
1. Quality control and tight quality control at that
2. A pre-built system, add labour costs, take away setup time
3. An OS designed for the hardware that it is on which in turn gives better performance as the OS and all software is developed for that hardware and that OS so again, it will work better.
4. A huge amount of bundled software that would cost thousands to buy alternatives of the same quality
5. Good support, unlike an unfortunately large amount of hardware manufacturers, and major ones at that as well (looks at Asus)
6. A near enough totally silent system. You want that on a PC, go and add in aftermarket heatsinks, fans or better yet, full water cooling loops
7. Aesthetics that are otherwise only obtainable by heavy modding which would take weeks or months to do to any sort of decent standard or by shelling out large amounts of money on a parted out iMac case
8. A plethora of third party professional software that is only available on Mac or works much better on Mac
Totally aggree with you, I don't understand people who are willing to buy overpriced computers just because they believe in the magic of this apple logo on their machine.
Of course you don't, neither you or PC have any use for them so do not see the value of them. As a man I see no use in feminine hygiene products, yet I will not shout that they are therefore a waste of time, space and money just because I have no use for them because I am not short sighted enough to not realise that other people do have a use for them.
Here is an idea, if you do not agree with the purchase or what is being asked, don't post saying that you do not agree with it. Do you know what happens then? Exactly what is happening now, the thread veers completely off topic. How about we draw a line under this and continue thusly?
Do you have a place to buy a 2013 iMac pro?
If yes, feel free to share. If no, don't post again
