Hey guys,

Im just wondering is there any software around that will let me select part of my screen and then broadcast it over the net under my ip address ? I know theres some software that does it but needs a video feed from a device like a camcorder.

If you are just planning to show a portion of your desktop you could use a basic screen capture program that will easily make a jpeg capture of your current desktop. You can even try out a few sharewares with a time limit if you only need a few shots made. But one freeware site found offers several at http://www.nonags.com/nonags/grcapt.html

are you talking about a live feed of your desktop streaming on the internet so people can see wat you are doing

cuz i was looking for one of those to help a friend out with some graphics on Photoshop

A web cam. Then sign-up at jmeeting.com and your good to go.

A web cam or surveilance camera with a live feed would be a hardware not software method for a live cast. Setting up a digital camcorder to save what you are doing into video files would also be a way to show what was going on. The drawback is camera angles and reflections distorting the view as well as having just the right lighting. But that would simplify the process.
