any software to fix my Harddrive

I have an old hard drive that I want to revive. This is 40gb WesternDigital. the problem is my computer coudn't detect it. Try to partition it but coudnt see it. anyone know any software to fix it.

(FYI) I did master or Slave switch. but still coudnt detect it. ANY HELP PLEASE
