I would advise against Palit GPU's, go with any other brand.

You can go for Intel if you've got the money or AMD if your on a budget. I'd take the AMD route. The AM3 socket should be around for a while longer so you can upgrade later, although they say AM3+ will replace it. I like the Phenom. I also like the "black edition" (this series has an unlocked multiplier to allow for overclocking).
