Is there anyway to control how much of the cpu is used on battery? My notebook sucks on battery vs ac. Ive heard of a program that can do this, but i wouldn't know the name anyway.

Thanks,
Max

i mean when its on battery, the performence is bad. I'm wondering if there is a way to control the cpu when on battery to improve performence?

Ooooh... Well that program should also work. You can set AC and DC profiles, and just lock the CPU at it's max speed or something.

There should be programs included on your laptop to change the settings for CPU performance when your in battery mode. Or you can disable it via the BIOS, if it allows you to.

If your using Windows XP you can right click on the battery icon and select Adjust Power Properties, then from the Power Shemes drop down choose, Always On, this will make it so Windows will put your CPU at its full stock clock speed. And if your not using XP I'm sure there is something similiar in Vista
