i'm looking to buy a new laptop as mine is getting old and outdated... i know lenovo makes expensive laptops, but they also come with many features others don't have standard...

i'm looking into getting a x200 (not the tablet) or a t400... i have specs all figured out for either one and am ready to pull the trigger on one of them, but i've been reading lately that their quality control has hit a downhill slope and their pc's aren't quite the rock solid hits of the past...

just looking for some insight, if anyone actually owns one on here... keyboard flex and flex in the palm rests have been a major concern, as my current laptop has neither of them problems... it's time for a laptop that will keep up with me, but not sure if the pricetag is worth it if quality isn't top-notch...

thanks...

I own lenovo G530, T6500 processor. I bought it for $499 mid summer, similar laptops are for $699 right now. I must say, it's pretty good. Quality is similar to Dell.

For my next laptop which I'm looking for now, for my mom, or for me, and this one goes for my mom, is ASUS, Toshiba, or Dell. Asus appears to be very good so far.

In my opinion present Chinese made Lenovo is same in quality as Dell. Here is where I place Lenovo, top being better quality:

Toshiba
Asus
Dell
Lenovo
Acer

Now, Lenovo is not IBM by a long shot. It's made in China, and not only that, Lenovo execs are Chinese commies. I'm from Soviet Union and I happen to know all about communism. Expect utility, not luxury.
