anybody seen the ipod nano?

i saw a commercial on it like a while ago, and i was like WTH? thats kinda weird.......personally i'll never buy an ipod, but still, whats ur opinion on this?
 
I think that if it gets any smaller no one will buy it because its to valueble to lose. But its amazing for i think its 5 gigs of space.
 
1,000 songs is what its suppose to hold, so 5gb might be about right.
thats cool, hopefully the competition comes up with something like this so i can buy it.
 
Played with one in CompUSA today. Cool that it's so slim, but I wouldn't trust myself with something that thin. I'd bend over in my jeans and crack it if it was in my pocket (where i hold EVERYTHING lol) But, no doubt it's cool looking, if only it wasn't acrylic cover and white.
 
i find that with all expensive accessories that are cool to have, they always end up getting scratches or worn on the edges/buttons. im waiting for technology that allows you to body slam it.

Well, for the scratches you can spend a little extra and purchase a case for your IPOD.

and... if you somehow feel the need to body slam electronics you've got some issues ;)

lol...i must have some serious problems then. electronics piss me off when they do't worj like they are supposed to.

That isn’t what I said 4W4k3.. I said you have some issues if you want to body slam electronics... and expect it to work afterwards...



I get frustrated when electronics do not work they way they are supposed to.. but when I throw a TV remote control against a wall as hard as I can, I don’t expect it to change the channel afterwards....
 
yer original ipods didnt last my friend long, he is on his 15th 20gb one. (he somehow manages to claim them on insurance when he gets major scratches though) only bout 7 were properly broken. And when they say u can hold 1000 songs on a 5 gig thats rubbish I got like 2gig of songs which is 700. So 5 gig would hold near 2750 songs (and if you made them all 112kbps alot more.

hmm... I quickly looked at 5 gigabytes of the songs I have... There were 1260 songs... and 86 hours worth of songs... so the average song length was only 4 minutes...
(quality is either 128 or 160 kbps)

Its seems it depends on the length of the songs... and the quality.. If you have a bunch of songs that are 10 -15 minutes long... or a higher quality... of course you wont be able to fit as many songs.
 
I hate iPods, why don't people get something else? If they have a Mac i could understand, but people with Windows, cmon, get something elsem it will be more worth it. There is so many products that compete with the iPod and alot of them are so much better.
 
iPods are like hummers (not military ones), they are extremely over rated, they have many other products such as the creative zen, that are similar in size, have a bigger hard drive, and are cheaper. Try finding and ipod with a 20gb hard drive for under $150.
 
ya, ipod is like the ting to have i guess.....get a different mp3 player and your just not "cool"

well anyway, my friend ordered a balck nano, and it does look pretty cool

but you can get something better for less probably
 
I just saw on my local news paper saying that the nano had to many problem with its screen and I believe apple has a recall or will replace the bad nano's. I see if I can find the article on this.
 
ipods are good especially if you got itunes the 2 sync with eachother also its like and external hard drive and i reckon there going to be making video ipods not sure but i wouldnt put it past them
