I can't imagine it would be hard.
get a sheet of plywood, get a few LCDs, remove the frames, mount the stuff to the plywood with epoxy or silicon after test positioning to see where to drill for plugs etc.
as long as you don't break any of the components of wires inside, it should all work fine and you'll have a large almost seamless display.
I'm currently trying to get hold of old LCDs to try this with to see how well it works.
