Well a friends told me about a thing called emulators. He didn't get too much into detail, but he said it is for playing games from nintendo, super nintendo, nintendo 64, sega, etc....on you PC. Anybody here us emulators? and can you please explain a little on what it actually is? I play mostly PC games, but my girlfriend loves playing mario bros when shes bored. Thought if I can get a little info on this, I can put mario bros on my PC. Thanks

emulators allow you to play console games on your pc, you download the games in a data file, it is illeagal to keep a game that you do not own a hard copy of for more than 24 hours (as of my knowlage). its fine to have a emulator and use it to play games that you own. you can find them on the web just use google or something

That 24 hour stuff is just crap put out by the spreders so you think its legal, its not relaly though.

yes.. think of it as something to scare you.. yes they might be able to track you... but NO one will.. they dont have the time to track every person who downloads it... but yes EMULATORS are great.. i personally have the one for Gameboy Advance.. there are many more like.. PS2, PSX, Super Nintendo, Sega, Nintendo, Gameboy Color, Xbox(maybe).. basically.. almost every game console.. but the most common ones you will find are older consoles like SNES, NEs, SEGA, GBA, GB... etc.. for the PS2 and PSX, you will need to have the original CD game because thats what you will need to play it off with.. for the others.. its usually in a file where you just run right off of the emulator..

my sister downloaded banjot tooie and the 2nd zelda game and some others on my machine while i was on vacation, she used the project 64 emulator. i since deleted them all...thanks for all the spyware sis!

But that doesn't make it legal or even morally right now does it? ;)
I don't think there's much more to discuss about this, if you need more info you'd be better off consulting google.

well, dont hold me to it that im telling him/her to do it. it was a mere reply to the member before me. and i never said anything that its legal and that he should do so. i just told him what he wanted to know as in "what are emulators and what i have...
