Is anyone else here having the problem with Crysis on their Radeon 4870? The main problems I'm talking about is on the carrier level when the game lags real bad and eventually just freezes up and crashes. The rest of the game prior to this point ran smoothly on 1600x1200 all high settings with some minor hiccups along the way.
anyone else having the lag/freezeups with Crysis on 4870?

What setting do you have it at? I was just playing Crysis Warhead on the highest level. I have to get Crysis though.

Iv never had freeze ups with my 4870 on crysis, but I did notice a bit of lag once or twice. When I say lag I dont mean just a drop in frames, I mean like the game almost freezes then unfreezes quickly. I noticed this Mostly after switching to vista(dx10). I also got a higher frame rate on XP. Im assuming this is because of DX10.

is harddisk bad cluster.....
chkdsk /f /r <driver letter>: (it takes a long time for my 500G harddisk)
is the ati installation files or extraction got written on the bad cluster, making it installed bad inf within the windows/system/inf directory. (read this from the chkdsk process)
i used to have my 4870 1G freezed within game from time to time but not always. i play wow.
now i have smoothness 60fps with all game setting to max.
my game drive was also checked, written on bad sector/ cluster. I also reinstalled the game.
