Anyone ever heard of Diamond dust thermal grease? Link inside

Haven't heard of it, but here's my opinion on the two.
Arctic Silver 5:
Perfected compound
Great reputation
Cheap
That diamond stuff:
Just because it has diamond doesn't make it better, it has to be used RIGHT
No reputation (looks like something a dumbass made in his basement)
Probably expensive (it's diamond)

Looks interesting. And diamond isn't that expensive, at least not the synthetic kinds used commercially. It won't be soon until some major brand comes up with a legit diamond thermal paste. Imagine, Arctic Diamond 5 :).

True story

And ic7 is still worse than the high end shin etsu stuff, and also worse than ocz freeze, mx2, tx2, as5, or any other high end silver compound. I imagine the reason is that you can only get the particle size so small for diamonds, and they are too big to fill the gaps between the two surfaces.

But why is it that the best material is always more expensive? Why can't it be like salt or something?

because there is a higher demand for the best material, even if it was salt, you would probably have posted something like "But why is it that the best material is always more expensive? Why can't it be like diamonds or something? :P
