Excuse the expression but i've got a problem with my joystick! I just cant get up! - in planes ;)

Its been running absolutley fine up until about a week ago. Its a TrustGM2500, pretty cheap but did the job tip top for about 3 months. I use it to play Battlefield 2.

Jumped in a Jet the other day only to find it rolls to the right whenever i pull up.

Tried restarting system, blowing out connections etc, but its really got a problem. I used Windows Calibration tool for it, and my problem was confirmed - the Y Axis activates the X axis instead. Whenever i pull the joystick back - it picks that up as if im moving it right instead

Any way of solving this or is it time to get another?

Thanks in advance!

If it was cheap, I'm surprised it lasted a few months to be honest. Maybe check the controls in the game and make sure you haven't accidentally changed them. Other than that, check the drivers. If that doesn't work, it might just be time to face the fact you need a new one.

Its been fine until now though - and i havent dropped it or done anything unusual with it. Seems strange to just pack in! It doesnt actually have a driver with it - checked their website and its just plug and play so theres nothing i can reinstall/update.

Unless theres a way you can remap the controls in windows it looks like its going in the bin. Shame though - its not old.

Huh, well maybe it's just time then. If it was a cheap one, they usually don't last that long (not for me anyway) but my £50 logitech is still working. . .
