Anyone know how to edit Firmware?

Hi,

If anyone is good at editing firmware could they please help me with something?
Not sure if it's possible but I have a IP Webcam which allows people to view images with my PC turned off.
Only thing is users have to enter a password and I'd really like anyone to be able to view.
So would a firmware edit allow anyone to view the image without using a password?

I'm sure if you could find a copy of the firmware to upload to the camera, it wouldn't be hard to edit it. The only difficult part would be to know what programming language to use and all that crap.

Yeah, I found a copy of the file, but not sure if anyone here is any good at editing firmware?
