Anyone know of a program that can crop a pdf like this?

I need a program that will allow me to crop a pdf page in half or in forths and make each of the pieces into a separate page in that document.

I know it's a strange request, but maybe someone out there knows of a way to do it.

you can always use the image/page and crop in another program.....then make the 4 separate files into pdf.

i do that with CorelDRAW and then Adobe Acrobat Professional.

Yeah, the problem is that at school I often deal with 50-page long pdf documents, where each page is made up of 2 or 4 powerpoint slides. I don't have access to the original ppt files. I would like to find a quick way of doing it so that each slide is one page in pdf. That way I can print them on 4x6 in.index cards to study.

Of course the way it is now, I can just print the entire page and then cut the paper in fourths - but that is regular thin paper. I would like thick index card type paper and it's a bit expensive to buy full letter-size or DIN A4 size index card thick paper to cut after printing.

I only just started all this so I dont know of a shortcut.

Using ABBYY screenshot reader it will be quicker but still a pain in the butt:
Just select the area to make an image, then import the image into PDF. It saves cropping in a large application like corel or photoshop.

But yes if it is only a one off or you will not do it too often it is ok, but if you have alot to do then you need to work something out. I do this all day most days, but i have to decide what i want in the image and what size I want it

Ohhhhhhh by the way if you are printing I think you can just export from the pdf somehow a selected area to another file.

hold on. you want it to be in like quarters?

so each page is in pieces?

if you send me the file ill try and do it. lol

yeah, I'm thinking it will be more of a hassle than anything else - one of those things where using the computer might not be as efficient as using simple scissors and paper. Thanks anyway for the suggestions. :)
