Anyone owned/overclocked the AMD X2 4000+ (65nm)?

I am thinking about going with a budget gaming computer now, and setting my budget at $400. I was going to go with the Black Edition 5000+, but the 4000+ looks to be the same chip with a lower speed. I plan on overclocking this thing with good cooling, how high do you think I will be able to go?

I have the X2 4000+ and imo it hasn't got very high overclocking ablilities.
But I just have a standard HSF no propper cooling system

I say go with the 5000+

Just my 2 cents

Well in the reviews on newegg claim that it can go up to 2.8ghz with stock heat sink, but I personally do not have any experience with it. Also it depends on the motherboard and memory when you overclock.. IF you didn't know..

For the price I have actually been watching that processor, but then again I have like a very small budget, so unless my budget goes up I don't have much of a choice I think.

The reviews on Newegg are what got me interested. Most overclockers reported 2.8-3.0 was very easy, no voltage increase. A few reported something like 3.6 stable with small voltage increases. I would be very happy with 3.2 Ghz.
The reason I am interested in the 4000+ is it appears to be the exact same proc as the 5000+, only binned at a lower speed and selling for less than half the price!

Here is the system it's going in:

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ Brisbane 2.1GHz

Mobo: BIOSTAR NF520-A2 AM2 NVIDIA nForce 520 MCP ATX

RAM: A-DATA Value Series 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800

CPU Fan: Rosewill RCX-Z1

I think you're right, I'm looking at the E2160 as my cheap proc.

What percentage gain (estimated of course) would I get by going with an E6750 vs. E2160?

I well i've heard that the E21*0 series can yield 80% overclocks...which is pretty damn impressive. The E6750 can get pretty damn high with good cooling as well. If money isn't an issue, i'd take the E6750 due to the cache, which helps big time, but otherwise, the E21*0 are flippin' awesome.
