Anyone recommend the MacBook?

Hey guys, looking for some opinions on Mac's! :D

I'm currently intested in buying a MacBook and was wondering if anybody'd particularly recommend a mac.
To be honest I'm not interested in the fact that a lot of programs etc don't support the mac, so you don't need to tell me that lol. It seems easy enough to have windows installed at the same time, and apparantly you can even load windows up whilest on the Mac OS which seems very cool. can anyone verify that it's as easy to get windows going on a Mac as it makes it out to be?
Other than that I'm looking at the cost. Macs seem to be quite expensive, which I don't particularly mind so long as it's worth it. What does anybody thinks here plz?

Thanks very much, as many opinions as possible welcome! :)

I own 5 macs and 2 PCs, and only one of my PCs runs windows. First off, there is nothing a PC can do that a Mac can't. Secondly, there is not lack of compatibility if anything the Mac is more compatible given the fact that it runs windows and all windows apps when running windows. Third, they are not over priced at all. You must take into account everything a Mac can do out of the box versus your average PC. Add over $500 of software to your PC and you maybe have similar features as a mac.

My Macbook Pro is by far the best laptop I have ever owned, and I have owned several. On top of that I have supported and repaired every major brand of laptop for the most part, so my opinion is based on a very broad scale.

I say, go for it and get a Mac you won't be disappointed. Unless you want to be a hardcore gamer, but then again you can always just get a console system for that or build a desktop PC.

Yea, it's not really for games. I have a desktop as you can see in my sig - it runs games lol ;)
Could somebody tell me like the best game a MacBook could run (I'm talking about the £699 one), to give me an idea of its power?

hardcore gamer? even a casual gamer should go for pc.

Why? Consoles can do just as much as your average PC and you don't have to worry about any thing else, like the OS crashing or getting a virus or anything like that. Also, a Macbook can play most average games at an OK level, and it can run windows. If you are an average gamer a gaming PC isn't always needed, and it depends on your personal preference.

The entry level macbook has integrated intel graphics chip, it will play most modern games at a basic level. I don't think it will run FPS very well though.

If you can get around the price jack up go for it, I love mine and haven't had any problems. Buy the RAM separately because apple selles there RAM for way to high if pre-installed.

I have windows XP on mine because my school supports windows more then OS X.

But ya, a macbook is a great notebook and I will definitely buying another when the one I have doesn't cooperate.
