anyone run windows 7?

It's a stable OS for the dealings I've had with it. Like you said though, I wouldn't have it as your main OS. And I wouldn't put it on the same HDD just in case something goes wrong.

I run the 64bit Windows 7 beta on a separate partition. And I think it is much better than Vista by far. Faster loading, and I will get it later in the season after it comes out. My main OS is Windows XP Pro x64. I haven't had any problems with it yet.

i WOULD use the beta, it is installed in a 250gb partition in one of my hd's but it is impossible to get my wifi workingif i could just get internet for it, i would probably switch over till it deactivated.
Strange, I got WiFi working right away. What you could try is installing a second copy of vista (without activating it) on a separate partition, installing the WiFi drivers and then upgrading to windows 7. I installed 7 once that way and once from scratch, my WiFi worked both times... anyhow...
What WiFi card have you got?

Not a lot i know about that.
I think Windows 7 better than Windows Vista. Because windows 7 has higher performance and speed than Windows Vista.

I have exactly the same problem. I ran Windows 7 for ages and absolutely loved it, never experienced any problems. But then I moved to India and am using a wireless internet connection through a usb device thing and the drivers won't work on Windows 7. It's my only problem and it's really annoying because everything else works fine but I'm not gonna run it without working internet.

my win7 gave me a very bumpy start.
if it didn't like a device, it wouldn't just say so, like winxp where it would just put a warning sign in device monitor. no, windows 7 would bsod.
it took me a while to figure out that you have to manually disable a device by going into safe mode, and also have to manually tell windows 7 to stop trying to automatically install drivers for these devices during startup.
it was a real pita, but now you know.
also, my pci nic and sound cards are not supported in Win7, but i still have on-board, so not all is lost.

Anybody know how long after windows 7 release til they put out a reference book.
This book posted above has been an invaluable tool when I have had to troubleshoot Windows XP for me. Will there be a similar book out for Windows 7 - or will I have to wait 6 or more months til a book like this is availab.e

I'm sure a book like that will be published shortly after release. However, until then or however long it takes for them to publish one, Google is our friend.Anybody know how long after windows 7 release til they put out a reference book.
